As Accounts Receivable your responsibilities include posting payments, preparing bank deposits, contacting clients who have past due invoices, approve credit and set up new accounts, process invoices and monthly statements and enforce company credit policy.

The key deliverable is to accurately keep track of incoming revenue and actively enforce our credit policy. To achieve this, these sub-deliveries must be met:

1. In the first day, meet with different members of the team and understand the company goals, the team members and their roles, Ted Johnson Propane’s service and solutions offerings, and our internal service process.

2. Train on our Cargas software and all the different modules you will utilize.

3. Learn payment input process, cash register reconciling and bank deposit procedure.

4. Train on credit policy.

a. Learn our in-house paperwork process.

b. Train on how to open a new account, close accounts and change taxes for customers moving to another city.

5. Train on month end procedures including:

a. Closing out in-house accounts

b. Creating, emailing/mailing monthly rental invoices

c. Emailing/mailing customer statements

6. Train on phones/customer service.

• Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order in a small office environment.

B.A. from four-year college or university in Accounting or related discipline; or five or more years related experience and or/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ted Johnson Propane pays $25-$28/hour plus annual bonus commensurate with the successful candidate’s background, education and experience. Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
